So for the past day or so I have been racking my brain trying to think of my next blog writing and could come up with nothing interesting NOT....A....THING and then it happened...it was inevitable living in the bush household...the very thing that my life revolves around is my newest blog entry...the children..
I shall start with the newest finding...Cat+glue=a big tangled sticky MESS! Rewind to yesterday when the kids are sitting at the table doing art and I am upstairs putting clothes away. Maddox comes upstairs and immediately says "i'm sorry mommy" oh no i think that is never EVER good. NOT once has maddox come up to me and said " i'm sorry mommy but i picked up all my toys AND didn't pee on the floor at all today"...yea right not in this lifetime. But i digress...maddox says "i'm sorry mommy i spilled glue but i cleaned it up". Ok great no worries until NOW...petting cosmo i feel it...dried glue allllll over the one side of him. It hits me he either did not clean up the glue like he said OR he used the cat to clean the glue up...either way it leaves quite a perdicament to figure out.
The next thing...I walk in from work today and notice bags on the table and as jesse and i talk about the things he bought for christmas maddox turns and looks at me..waves his little finger..and says "mommy i'm not telling you what we bought you today" way to keep a secret maddox but it gives him great joy for me to continually ask him what he bought me and for him to look at me slyly like he is keeping a top secret for the pentagon.
oh children they can turn any day into a ball of laughs!

UPDATE UPDATE!

The bunk beds were a HIT! the kids couldnt wait to get in them and were actually BEGGING to go to bed that night. Only one slip up and that was the first night...maddox tried to go down the ladder in the dark and slipped. Jesse and I were downstairs and heard a big THUMP! i dont think we ever ran so fast in our lives up those steps! Nothing major just a bit sore but now he doesnt move from the bed unless there is a light on so not a TOTAL catastrophy!
On a side note this weather has really done something to my internal clock...I seriously feel tired ALL DAY LONG! I hate waking up when its dark and coming home in the dark. The other night I went to bed at 8:30!! and i slept all night and could of slept more if my alarm didnt go off. Well let me tell you I have a lot going on right now and sleep can't be my priority so whatever is happening needs to work itself out!
On that note I am going to go lay on the couch!

Bunkin' it
So every Christmas there is THE MUST HAVE GIFT that my kids want. Last year it was Mickey Choo Choo and lo and behold it was found and given to two wide eyed excited children. This years big gift? BUNK BEDS!!! Many moons ago when we all were shopping at Ikea the kids spotted them and immediately fell in love. Since that time Jesse and I went back and forth trying to decide if they would work best in the room and if maddox was too young to sleep on the top bunk. We all know little grace (aka sydney) could never pull off a feat like that! But as months went on we started to notice maddox hanging half off his toddler bed and thought that yes this was the year for bunk beds. So for Christmas my parents bought and delivered them Friday night. Let me tell you that box was VERY misleading. It was a long skinny box that gave the impression that this sucker wouldnt take long to build at all. YEA RIGHT! As soon as my parents left we got to work. Jesse and I are not the type of people that like to just look at a box for a couple weeks..when we want it we want it NOW! jesse pulled board after board after board out. OH BOY i thought there is going to be a lot of cussing tonight! This thing requires building not one twin bed but two (DUH i never thought of that!) We worked (well jesse worked and i held things) until 11:00 and managed to get all of one bed done and part of another. So lets fast forward to saturday evening. As soon as jesse gets home from work we continue our project b/c lets face it if this thing isnt put together by the time the kids get home from the grandparents sunday night we are asking for a load of trouble. After some minor problems and minimal cussing they were done and they look great! We immediately came up with a strategy plan. Ok we won't show them the room until they both are here AND we are setting rules up to avoid any occurances of jumping off the top bunk or climbing onto the shelves. We all know how my children are and rules but the best part is yet to come...tonight when they walk in and get to see their new jungle gym equipment I am hoping for such excitement they pee themselves but not IN the bunk beds b/c putting those sheets on is a whole other blog...
